CANNESERIES and SPACE Production launch POV: Europe on Ukraine, a new creative initiative dedicated to Ukrainian stories seen through the eyes of French creators.
As Ukraine’s story increasingly becomes part of Europe’s shared narrative, the question is not only what stories are told, but who tells them, and how they travel across borders.Through POV: Europe on Ukraine, French writers, directors and producers are invited to engage as creative interpreters of Ukrainian stories.
For its first phase, the initiative focuses on France, whose rich cinematic tradition and strong cultural dialogue with Ukraine make it a natural starting point for this project.The initiative aims to encourage the development of new series projects that explore Ukrainian stories from a European perspective.
Projects must be at the early development stage and suitable for television or streaming platforms.Selected projects will go through several stages of selection, culminating in a final pitch at CANNESERIES 2027, where the winning project will receive a €7,000 award.
Who can apply
French writers, directors and producers developing original series projects inspired by Ukrainian stories, themes or realities.
Participants must have at least one writing credit (TV series or film), aired or fully produced.

Development and mentoring opportunities
Shortlisted participants may take part in workshops, discussions and meetings with Ukrainian industry experts to further develop their projects.

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with fellow creators, producers and industry professionals through dedicated networking events.
Final pitch at CANNESERIES
Finalist projects will pitch their series concepts during CANNESERIES 2027, in front of an international jury. The winning project will receive a €7,000 development award.
